Research Project Groups
Each participant is assigned to a research project group led by Graduate Mentors who provide guidance and support throughout the program. During daily project group sessions, participants engage in interactive lectures, hands-on research time, small-group discussions, and dedicated time to prepare your final project. Graduate Mentors will provide feedback, answer questions, and help you deepen your understanding as you collaborate with your peers and grow as a researcher.
Faculty Talks & Demonstrations
Participants will attend daily faculty talks and industry demonstrations featuring experts in the field. These sessions are designed to expand your perspective and connect you with real-world applications of your learning.
Office Hours
Office hours are optional support sessions held daily from 1:30–2:00pm PT. Participants are welcome to drop in to ask questions, get feedback on work, or talk through ideas related to their research project. This is dedicated time to receive additional guidance from your Graduate Mentors and deepen your understanding at your own pace.
Campwide Check-In & Reflection
Each morning from 9:00–9:30am PT, we’ll gather as a full community for Campwide Check-In. This is a space to connect, reflect on the previous day’s faculty talk or demonstration, and prepare for the day ahead.
Student Life
Participant Orientation
Participant orientation is held prior to the program start on Thursday, June 11, from 4:00–5:00pm PT. Live attendance is encouraged. During orientation, you’ll meet your peers and mentors, get oriented to the schedule, and prepare for a successful experience. Live attendance is encouraged. Participants will gain access to the online platforms used during the program prior to the start of their session. Please keep an eye out for emails from the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies team with details about technology orientations and platform access.
Closing Ceremony
On the final day, family and legal guardians are invited to join participants and program staff for the Closing Ceremony following group presentations. This is a time to celebrate your accomplishments, reflect on your growth, and recognize the work you’ve completed with your research group throughout the program.
Optional SPCS Student Life Activities
In addition to your academic work, participants have the opportunity to participate in optional student life activities hosted by Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies.
